While millions of fans sharing their pictures, videos, personal stories using the perfect multimedia support on Facebook, Twitter senses danger.

Just few years ago, Twitter has been considered the coolest on-time communication tool which gives you a chance to announce what is happening now to you and to the world around you. People are attracted because of its extreme simplicity and rapid information transmitting.

However, people now seem to consider that simplicity a crudeness. No pictures, no videos, no personal customizations, and all in all, no freedom. I admit, it is quite difficult to express something only in 140 characters of plain text. So, Twitter decides to change!

The new Twitter is not hatched yet, however, people like me are always happy to see changes knowing they may help make it better. Definitely you will see some similar functions and designs which are referential from other SNS, but it is going to be fine as long as it is still Twitter, and the most important, a better Twitter.

An imitation or creation? Actually I would rather call it a fusion. And only the Twitter users will finalize. All right, let us shift the debate to the new features that new Twitter is going to have:

1. New Design: double-panel view. A single, streamlined view on the left and an expended view with familiar features on the right of the screen.

2. New Media Content: by developing the partnership with DailyBooth, DeviantART, Etsy, Flickr, Vimeo, YouTube and many other more, it is very easy now to see embedded pictures and videos directly on Twitter.

3. New Way to Display a Tweet: when a tweet is selected, the details pane shows additional information(depending on the tweet’s content itself) related to the author or subject.

4. New Mini Profiles: click a user name to get access to account information in mini profile without navigating from the current page.
